An event that promises to change the history of brazilian MMA is set to come on FIRE!
ROYAL FC 1 is going to happen on February 2nd on HSBC Arena, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and their two main fights are promise of excitement!
On the main event of the evening, two legendary MMA heavyweights, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic (27-10-2) and Pedro “The Rock” Rizzo (19-10) are going to face each other on a historic fight.
It’s going to be Cro Cop’s comeback to MMA, he fought for the last time on October of 2011, when he got knocked out by Roy Nelson. Rizzo faced the icon Fedor Emelianenko in July of 2012 and ended up knocket out on the first round too.
It’s a fight that makes the older MMA fans dream about it. Cro Cop has defeated names like Josh Barnett, Wanderlei Silva and Igor Vovchanchyn. Rizzo demolished Jeff Monson, Andrei Arlovski, Dan Severn and others.
The Co-main event promises another very exciting fight. Andrei Arlovski (17-9) is going to face Jeff Monson (46-13-1) on a former UFC champion vs. former UFC challenger fight.
Besides of this two heavyweight bouts, ImperioMMA confirmed with sources close to the event that names like Murilo “Ninja” Rua (20-13-1) are on talks to fight on ROYAL FC’s debut.
